Transects

Transects

Given the rugged and hostile terrain and the likelihood of weather, snow and landslide hampering the to be determined activities, it was decided that the group with experience in the region from Birbal Sahni Institute of Palaeobotany, Lucknow, India, shall be given the advantage of deciding the transects for the program and the science experiments would be based around them. It was clearly brought out that the logistics requirements of the mission would drive the science objectives and experiments.
